about us
the idea_

Founded by architecture students of the University of Melbourne, Archicle was initially founded for the initiative of recycling and reselling unused modelling material. the idea started with the need to find model making materials on a low budget. A large resource of material was found to be hidden right under their noses; within the recycle bins of the FabLab of unimelb. This sparked a vision for students and others interested in design to be able to cultivate their talents in this abundant source for design creativity.

-
Archicle is a not-for-profit student organisation at the Melbourne School of Design, bringing together ‘architecture’ and ‘recycle’. We endeavour to create a sustainable, social and creative community for students. Currently, we are focusing on human sustainability - the recycling of architectural knowledge and technical skills through webinars and workshops, and are also looking into advocating social sustainability through informal social platforms.
